Dr. Nikunj Makwana is a Medical Doctor and Public Health Professional. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Special Centre for Disaster Research, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He has coordinated the Health Services of JNU. He has previously served the Govt of Gujarat as a Medical Officer and National Health System Resource Centre, New Delhi as a Consultant. He has contributed as a member of UGC Expert Committee for framing the syllabus of the subject 'Disaster Management' for UGC-NET examination. He is also contributing as a subject matter expert of Disater Management with various national level agencies and organizations. His fields of academic interests are (i) public health, (ii) disaster management and (iii) social sciences. He was a part of the Indian Youth Delegation by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, sent to Russia for the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students.
